Mary Seacole Housing Association (MSHA) provides secure accommodation and tailored support services to individuals facing housing challenges. Luton Irish Forum is a registered charity supporting the Irish and broader community in Luton, offering services to promote cultural heritage and well-being. Luton Law Centre is a not-for-profit legal practice offering professional, confidential legal advice and assistance to Luton residents. As a member of the Law Centres Network (LCN) and Advice UK, and Lexcel accredited, they work closely with partners like Citizens Advice Luton, Luton Rights, and Luton Irish Forum to provide specialized support in social welfare law.
Luton Law Centre specialises in:
- Community Care: Advocating for individuals’ rights to social care and health services, including older adults, young people leaving care, and individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges.
- Housing: Assisting tenants and homeowners with issues such as arrears, eviction, homelessness, landlord harassment, and property disrepair.
- Immigration and Asylum: Providing advice on entry and residence rights in the UK, citizenship, and asylum claims.
Luton Law Centre offers free initial advice through their advice line and schedules callbacks with solicitors or caseworkers as needed.

Luton Rights is a registered charity that has been supporting Luton residents since 1982. As a member of Advice UK and a partner of Luton Access, Luton Rights collaborates closely with Luton Citizens Advice, Luton Law Centre, and Luton Irish Forum. The charity offers free, confidential advice in several key areas, with staff who speak various community languages to better serve the diverse population:
Digital Skills Training: Offering basic IT training for individuals with little to no computer skills.
Specialist Welfare Benefits Advice: Available Monday to Friday at Community House, 15 New Bedford Road, Luton; providing expert advice and casework on all types of benefits.
Outreach Advice: Offered twice a week at various community locations, covering general housing, debt, and a comprehensive range of welfare benefits advice and casework.
Family Mediation: Providing both Legal Aid and non-legal Aid mediation services to help families who are separated or in the process of separating. This service supports families in resolving issues related to children, finances, and property outside of court.

The Customer Services Team at Luton Council plays a vital role in the Luton Supporting You initiative. Our primary responsibilities include offering advice on welfare assistance and adult social care, promoting support through social media, our website and participation in community events, as well as developing special projects. Our main objective is to offer help and guidance to residents in need, while also supporting organisations that work directly with them.
