We’re committed to ensuring that Luton is a safe and welcoming place for everybody and is a town where refugee and asylum seekers are welcome.
Refugees and asylum seekers have come to Britain for safety and to start new lives. Refugees and asylum seekers across these support pages will be referred to as “Sanctuary Seekers”.
We recognise that the asylum process can often feel uncertain. Alongside our partners, we’re working towards reducing crises and hardships that sanctuary seekers are impacted by.
Luton benefits from our voluntary and community sector partners whose expertise and commitment to supporting migrant and refugee groups is invaluable.
These pages includes a list of refugee and migrant organisations currently active in Luton, alongside links directing you to housing guidance and further move-on support for sanctuary seekers who have received refugee status or humanitarian protection.
If you would like to speak to one of our partners who specialises in advice for refugees please contact Luton Irish Forum, Citizens Advice or Luton Law Centre
